Student Spotlight: Justin

STUDENT NAME

Justin Budlow

GENRE

Rock / Jazz

Today I want you to meet Justin Budlow.

Justin is a recent graduate who came to GMI at a perfect time in his musical journey.

Self taught, he had been playing 10 years with enough basics of theory to get by in many real-world scenarios but he felt stuck.

He recognized that his creativity was being hampered by gaps in knowledge and technical aptitude rather than a desire to learn, so he sought to change it.

He worked with, Nicholas Veinoglou and together they were able to create a strong routine, consistent growth, and a new level of freedom in his musical expression.

Nicolas was able to share with him a lot of different ways of approaching the material a lot of different ways of approaching practicing guitar.

Justin had the drive and the patience, he just didn’t know how to most effectively apply it.

He knew inside that it’s not enough to just put in the time.

It's about knowing ~how~ to spend the time.

Once they unlocked this, his overall fluency as a musician blossomed.

Here’s Nicholas, speaking about his time with Justin.

If you feel inspired by Justin’s story, and you're ready to push yourself to new heights on the instrument, consider applying.

Hope you see you there!
