Fred Cheng is singer, performer and actor based out of Hong Kong.
After over 10 years on the guitar he found himself at an impasse.
Habit had taken the place of progression and he had grown tired of playing the same licks over and over again.
Like many of our student he needed direction.
With time, with patience and by taking the material we offer and “chunking” it down to digestible pieces, he’s been able to incorporate these practices and build upon that knowledge to unlock the fretboard.
We didn’t change his foundational knowledge of the instrument, we built upon it.
We took what Fred had already learned and offered him exercises to add more color, more flavor and more options that have allowed him to truly express himself on the guitar.
This isn’t an “easy” process, but nothing great is.
It requires focus, consistency, determination and most of all patience.
The good news is, once you learn it, it’s with you for life and nobody can take that away from you.
